Welcome to Sprowston Cricket Club Web Site

Situated to the north of Norwich the clubhouse (where we are) and ground are well positioned to serve the local community. The non-smoking clubhouse is available for hire. With a fully licensed bar we can host business or private functions and parties in a relaxed environment with friendly bar staff. See the contact us page for contact details and how to book your party or function.

The ground is also available for hire. With two cricket pitches, football pitches and a rugby pitch, an additional all weather cricket strip and training areas the ground can cater for almost any outside activity that requires space. We already hire out pitches to football and rugby clubs during the winter and to a Sunday cricket club alongside our own on Sundays during the summer. The pitches are also available for hire during the week. See the contact us page for contact details.

We currently run four senior cricket sides on a Saturday and two on a Sunday. We also have youth teams ranging in age from under 11 right up to under 17 who play other local youth teams. The Saturday teams are spread throughout the local league structure with the first and second teams in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance and the other teams in the Norfolk Cricket League, one of the filter leagues to the Alliance. Sunday teams are in the Premier division of the Mid-Norfolk Sunday league and a friendly league.

We run junior cricket training and matches throughout the week with qualified coaching. The general increase of TV coverage has increased interest in cricket, so we expect that the junior section will continue to grow. Adult and junior teams have also played in indoor 6-a-side competitions over the winter. We have new outdoor net facilities to allow everyone to improve their batting, bowling and fielding before and throughout the season. Please come down and join us if you are interested in playing or just wish to ask a question about joining the club.

We offer opportunities for local businesses to sponsor first and second team home matches. We have a variety of sponsorship deals that can be made with the club and more information can be obtained by e-mailing us through the contact us page.

What can you get for your support?
  • guests at the club on sponsored days
  • web links on this site
  • an advertisement in the handbook
  • advertisement on boards around the ground
  • or just be match ball sponsor
Come down and enjoy a match as a spectator with all the facilities that Sprowston Cricket Club has to offer. With the hope of warm sunny weekends over the summer we look forward to welcoming our opposition, friends and new contacts, contact us
